It's all about Ashie!!

Today is Ashlen's 5th Birthday!! I can't believe that my little baby is 5 years old!! She has had an absolute ball the last couple of days starting on Friday when she took cupcakes to preschool to share with her school friends. Then on Saturday we had our friends over that couldn't make it for the picnic we planned for today. We all had an absolute ball, from opening pressies and playing with some new toys, to making pizza for dinner and eating cake!!

Today we went on a picnic this morning to Rouse Hill Regional Park. This is one of the kiddies favourite parks, it has a flying fox and a maze. It is very bushy, smells good and is just a lovely park to play in. However at 11.30 some clouds start rolling in that look quite dark and then it poured, and poured. So much so that the area's we were just playing in flooded and so did one of the roads that we took on the way home! Thankfully there were a few options to getting home safe and sound.

Hope you enjoy the photo's!!
At the Park!

Walking over a rope bridge - quite tricky when you are little. Note the sun shining.

Note the flooding! That's the bridge Ashie was playing on.

What is the most wanted thing for a little girl who turns 5? A DS Lite of course...in pink!

And some Littlest Pet Shops toys.

Hey, do you want to link up?

Once again keeping the frog theme going. This is the first year I have made Ashie a birthday card. Ashie picked the ribbon and I had promised her I would put it into a card. She just loves froggies!
(on a technical note, I embossed for the first time! Yay!)

Damien made Ashlen's cake this time. So meet Piplup (a Pokemon) that sort of melted in the humidity of the morning. Tasted devine though, made entirely from scratch!

And to finish off a perfect birthday - some sparklers! Don't you love those too?

Preschool

What is a back yard party without a game of back yard cricket?!

Here is Ashie's cake for her Saturday shin dig. Entirely made and decorated by Aurora and myself using a Stampin Up set. Apparently I have an obsession that has been taken to the next level! Ashie loved her cake and Aurora loved making it for her.
