Great Nanna...

On the 8th of March we went to see Damien's Great Nanna who turned 94 on the 13th of March!!! Ashamedly we haven't seen her in a couple of years and she now lives in an assisted living nursing home which is just lovely. She is the most amazing woman I have ever met, who has really lived life. I aspire to have her grace and attitude which is never faltering.

It was lovely to see her and because it was just us this time (usually when we see her it is at huge family picnics), the kids felt so comfortable in her company and happily approached her and I'm sure if she could have sat on the floor or chased them around she would have! Nan and Ashie were playing teddy bears, Ethan was showing her some paddle board tricks and Aurora was told to sit on her knee for cuddles. Nan also thought it would be fun to give Ashie a ride on her walking frame (thanks for those extra grey hairs Nan, LOL) and introduce the kids to everyone in her community.
It was such a big chat fest and we can't wait to go back to see her again.
