Potsdamer Platz...

Wednesday 27th August 2008

This day started off as a bit of a doozy as we were meant to go to the Lego Discovery Centre but alas I forgot our voucher to get a huge discount. So we had a stroll around Potsdamer Platz to admire the amazing architecture of an area that was rebuilt after the wall was knocked down. Whilst the wall was up we discovered that it was a dead zone of the city, no one went there, transport stopped and the train station over grew with weeds and plants.
So I will hand over to Ethan to see what he had to say about the day.

On the 27.8.08 we caught a train to Potsdamer Platz. When we got there we walked to the Lego land discovery centre but Mum forgot the discount voucher so we looked around the Sony centre. In the Sony centre we found out Imaz played english movies so we bought snacks and I went back to see "The Clone Wars" which was really good. At the start Obi Wan and Anikan captured a planet and set up a heavy shield which made every thing to fight nearly impossible. So Anikan and his new padawan Asoka hid under part of a droid to get to the shields core and destroy it. Next Anikan and Asoka had to rescue Jabba the Huts son Rotter the Hutlet who was captured by Count dooku. When the Jedi arrived every one attacked the castle. Next Anikan and Asoka went down to the dungeons and saved the hutlet. Afterwards they flew away in an enemy ship to Tattooine to return Jabbas son.

At the Sony Centre

The ceiling of it, which changes colour at night time.

We also saw the Berlin Wall, or rather a small portion of the concrete wall.

A view of Potsdamer Platz from where we ate lunch.

At the movies we ran into Wall-E!
