Ethan's 10th Birthday - Medieval style!
Ethan turned 10 on November 27. Damien and I can't believe that our little man is 10, a decade old...DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!
Anyway these are so late going on as we ran out of memory on our camera as we had trouble letting go of our overseas photo's on there even though they were on the computer. Anyway, got over that quickly when I realised that we would have problems recording the day. Thankfully Ethan's grandmother took some photo's for him that I am able to pop on here with what I did take.
Ethan has been collecting Castle Lego since we ventured to Denmark in September 2008, hence why he picked the Medieval theme. Do you know how hard it is to find Medieval stuff?! A bit of old Halloween stock sufficed and some fake brick wall from the party shop with window/door backdrops worked a treat. We found some costumes from the local material store, Damien raided the kids dress up box (to be the hero Link from Zelda) and I ventured to the costume hire shop.
We decided to host a medieval tournament where competitors had to compete in all categories to receive points. The competitor with the most points was declared winner. Congratulations Lady Amelia - you truly are a modern day Maid Marion!
Events included - Medieval Croquet, Jousting, Slay the Dragon, Horse-shoe Toss, William Tells Archery.
Ethan also put together a fabulous Lego display complete with a questionaire so we had to look for hidden things.
Mr Incredible made a short appearance in the Jousting, but unfortunately the plebs of medieval society put an end to his existance so Damien had to take his place as the apple holder in William Tells archery.
Ethan had a great day and his party was a great success.
First of all, some piccies of Ethan's actual birthday night.
(No order)
In the afternoon we put our rock attire on - Muse and Coldplay shirts.
Ethan with his limited edition Castle Lego that he begged us for in Germany. He knew he was getting it, but we pretended otherwise in the lead up...you know...don't spoil the surprise and all LOLTHE PARTY!
Ethan's Lego display.
Archery.
Medieval Croquet. Like the bommy knocker?!
Ethan got Guitar Hero World Tour - this is a morning shot.

Once again you have outdone yourselves!! What a great party!
I'm not sure if we can show this to Caitlin, she'll be heartbroken to have missed so much fun - and the chance to shine as princess too!!
Happy Birthday again Ethan!!
