Picnic play on a sunny day.
The day before school went back, the kiddies and I decided that we would finally meet Damien in the city for a picnic lunch. We haven't been to his office in Sydney yet so it was a good opportunity to do that. We baked pumpkin and feta quiches and anzac biccies, packed a thermos and blankie in the picnic basket...yum, yum, yum!
It was a gorgeous day in the city, so we strolled on the foreshore in front of the Harbour, Opera House and Bridge to the Botanic Gardens. We positioned ourselves under a large tree on a hill over looking other picnic goers, Fort Dennison and right in the path of the lunch time jogging brigade! We amused ourselves watching how many joggers actually cut corners. The girls chased the Ibis birds and Ethan read.
Later, whilst Damien was doing his manly work duties, the kids and I critiqued art at the Contemporary Museum of Art. There was a great exhibition of drawing, no colour, just pencil/charcoal/pen to paper essentially. We also saw an exhibition by a Japanese artist. I've since decided that we could all be rich with our art! If only I knew....

What a fun day!
Damien must have loved this visit, Sydney is such a gorgeous city!! And so much things to see and to do...!
When did Aurora cut her hair??
Caitie loves the photos and rejoiced at recognizing Ashie's short as the one she owns too!
Forgot to say that Ashie's and Ethan's hair looks very handsome too!
Now she wants me to go and find the picture of her naked Uncle again... gotta go...
Will email later.
I cut the girls hair before we went away. Do you like it? They love it short, no knots!
Knots are horrible. It is a very cute cut, it looks managable yet very, very girly.
