New Year Efforts...
to aid in my new year's resolutions like all the sewing guru's on EB!
Today I made a piece for Aurora's summer wardrobe out of some gorgeous lightweight cottony material that was $18 a metre but I got it for $3!!! (Don't think I was supposed to but the lovely lady at spotlight gave it anyway!)
Anyway it is a 2 piece consisting of a lined halterneck with shirred back and a skirt with shirred waistband. The gold pattern on the material is really hard to capture on camera but it is gold and shiney - very noice indeed. I drafted my own pattern for the top and I guess I could have done the neck a bit squarer but I'm more then happy with it. And so is Aurora. She asked to wear it to bed and tomorrow (despite the weather globe on the Wii saying it will be 20 degrees, brrrr). There is no bigger compliment then that.
